Singapore Science Centre is currently known as Science Center Singapore. It is an educational institution in the district of Jurong East, and it is located in the city of Singapore, Singapore. Today, the center is about promoting scientific and technological knowledge for the consumption of the general public. The Science Center has eight exhibition galleries, and there are 850 exhibits spread all over. There are over a million visitors annually. In 2003, the science center celebrated its Silver Jubilee. There are about 25 million people who visited the center during the celebration. The project was conceptualized in 1969 by the Science Council of Singapore, and the government approved it. The center is covering about 60,000 square feet. In 1997, the center was opened to the public.
