Argyle International Airport – SVD St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Argyle International Airport or AIA started its operations in February 2017 and is the newest and first international airport in the multi-island country of St. Vincent and Grenadines, located in Argyle, St. Vincent and Grenadines. With modern amenities and state-of-the-art facilities, the airport with the code SVD, serves as agateway to St. Vincent & the Grenadines and the rest of the Eastern Caribbean. It was built because E.T. Joshua airport reached its saturation point and could not accommodate the growing airport traffic anymore. It has been designed to handle 1.5 million passengers yearly.

Being the newest airport in the country, AIA-Argyle International Airport boasts of a contemporary structurehousing two adjacent terminals with multiple gates. It was constructed with an open apron design with three aprons for commercial, general aviation, and cargo use. The airport features a long and wide runwaywhich can handle large jets. There are two taxiways to provide better transportation services to passengers. This airport connects the country to major destinations in the U.S., Canada, Europe, South America and the rest of the Caribbean. It operates as a primary hub for the country’s national airline. One of the exciting destinations within easy access to the airport is Mustique Island.
