While there are no available runway lights in the airfield, it is still currently used for private Aircraft Maintenance Operations for piston and turbine aircraft. You can also find several charter companies in and around Swakopmund Airport. While in Swakopmund, you should not miss the chance to go skydiving with the Swakopmund Skydiving Club based at Swakopmund Airport. You can also try driving to the nearby town of Douglas.
