Canazei: The Main Site for Rock Climbers and Skiers in Italy
An hour or two away from both Arturo dell'Oro Airport (BLX) and Cortina d'Ampezzo-Fiames Airport (CDF), Canazei is a commune located at the Itallian province Trentino, specifically at the northern part of the Italian region. Its name came from the word cannicetus (Latin), which means cane thicket. Its total land area measures 26 square miles, and is home for Chiesetta di San Francisco, a 15th century church.
Best Time to Visit
Months of March through April are the ideal months to go skiing in Canazei, Italy. This commune has been known to be a ski town, and people can be very pleased when they ride Grohmann Ski Lift while staying at this commune. Although if tourists would prefer dry land during their visit, December through March is the best time of the year to plan their vacation. In terms of tourist traffic, Mach June and April are the months considered to be the busiest, and February would be the month with fewer people spending time at Canazei for vacation.
The Gran Festa da d’Istà or Great Summer Feast is held during the month of September and would be worthy of the itinerary when planning a visit at Canazei.

Fedaia Pass is such a sight to see when travelling through Canazei. A mountain pass to which has a road built through Dolomiti Range leaves people in awe may it be while biking leisurely, or driving through it.
