Holt Airport – FLI
The Holt Airport, or most locally known as Flateyri Airport, is a small airport in the village of Flateyri. It is located in Flateyri, Westfjord, Iceland and serves the village and the nearby towns in the Westfjord peninsula. The Holt Airport, whose airport code is FLI, is an active passenger airport that takes passengers to and from Flateyri. Flateyri village is known for the 1995 avalanche, which hit it killing 20 people. Today the area offers resorts and many attractions for tourists around the world. As of this time, the airport has been considered operational.

FLI- Holt Airport has a total area suited for a small airport and elevated 23 feet above sea level. It has a runway with asphalt as its surface. The airport is close to one of Westfjord peninsula’s tourist destinations, which is Ísafjörður. Ísafjörður is the largest among Westfjord’s towns. It is home to ancient church and trading post that was established way back 16th century. The exciting activities the town could offer are golf course, biking and hiking trails, bird watching, horse riding, kayaking and skiing. You can easily drive to the tourists' sites from the airport and enjoy the attractions.
