Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center
Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center is an educational facility built in 1993 to create awareness of some of the endangered species in the wild. They are highly popular among tourists since they provide an up-close experience with grizzly bears, gray wolves, and river otters. These animals have been deemed as unable to survive in the wild, thus, making this Discover Center in West Yellowstone, Montana their home. Aside from personal encounters, this facility also has an interactive display featuring twenty-five taxidermic mounts and exhibits about everything that people should know about bears.
Another educational facility in this place is the Yellowstone Historic Center, which showcases the local stories of the town. Many of its exhibits are centered on the transportation development of West Yellowstone, as it is one of the most crucial factors in its growth. When in the area, tourists can also drive for an hour towards Big Sky - home to the second-largest biggest skiing resort in the U.S. The Big Sky Resort offers 5,800 acres of a sliding facility, which guests of all ages or skiing level can enjoy. Dining and shopping establishments can be found at the Big Sky Town Center should they want to take a break from outdoor activities. After a day of touring, visitors can rest at WorldMark West Yellowstone and enjoy its picturesque view of the surrounding mountains. For a more affordable accommodation, tourists may also want to consider checking-in at the Gray Wolf Inn & Suites. It is just two blocks away from the city’s entrance, giving guests easy access in and out of the area.
