The St. Paul’s Cathedral known for its gothic designs is found in Kolkata India. The construction of the church started in 1839 and reached its completion in 1847 and is the largest church in Kolkata as well as the first Asian Episcopal Church. This Anglican denomination church is dedicated to St. Paul and it cost Rs. 4,035,669 for its construction. It is mostly made from steel, special bricks, and fine plasters. In 1897, the church was damaged because of an earthquake and was reconstructed with Indo-gothic design to blend in with the local setting.
