Windsor Family Credit Union Centre or WFCU for short is both an arena and entertainment center. It is located in the town of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The center replaced the Windsor Arena which is almost 84 years old. It is also the home of Windsor Spitfires. The doors of the center were opened in 2008 and it was built in the east side of the city. Currently, it owned by the local government. The project was planned and approved in 2006. It is a groundbreaking ceremony that took place in 2007. The center cost about $71 million. It was built by the PCR Contractors, a locally-based construction company. The government approved the project for the purpose of adding excitement to the economy. In 2012, a swimming pool was added to WFCU.
