Moss/Rygge Airport – RYG Oslo, Norway
Moss Airport, Rygge is military airport and a now-defunct public international airport serving Moss, Oslo and Eastern Norway. It is located in Rygge several kilometers away from Moss and Oslo. In 2016, it shut down all civilian traffic but Rygge Air Station, is still operational. In its heyday, the civilian airport had a capacity for 2 million passengers per year but it never reached that much passenger traffic due to a limit in concession movement. The first aerodrome at Rygge was built in 1942-1943 in another location. The present airport’s operations had always been plagued with perennial problems so its eventual closure was not surprising.
Best Time to Visit

Fagerstrand, Lommedalen and Oppegard are some of the areas within the airport’s vicinity.
