Arena di Verona is a popular Roman amphitheater located in Piazza Bra, Verona, Italy. This amphitheater is worldly famous for opera performances and its capacity is about 30,000 people. This was built during the Renaissance period where opera is most appreciated and famous at that time. In the 20th century, there are at least 4 productions are being performed between June and August while during winter are the best season for ballet performers. To add a romantic and unified effect, candles are being given to the audience after sunset. Because of its prominence, Verona residents also set a summer festival called the Arena di Verona festival to expand and promote Italy's artistic activities. Performances would traditionally begin at dusk and people bring the mocoleto and lit it when the performances begin.
